Therefore let us remove this quickly, fall down before the Master, and weep as we beg Him that, becoming merciful, He may be reconciled to us and restore us to the dignified and pure way of life marked by our brotherly love.
For this is a gate of righteousness opened into life, as it is written: “Open for me the gates of righteousness, so that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous will enter through it.”
Although many gates stand open, this gate in righteousness is the one in Christ. Blessed are all who enter through it and direct their path in holiness and righteousness, accomplishing everything without disturbance.
Let someone be faithful; let him be capable of speaking knowledge; let him be wise in discerning words; let him be energetic in deeds; let him be pure.
For the greater he seems to be, the more he ought to be humble-minded and seek what benefits everyone in common, not what benefits himself.
