What then shall we do, brothers and sisters? Shall we be idle in doing good and abandon love? May the Master never allow this to happen among us! Rather, let us be eager, with earnestness and readiness, to complete every good work.
For the Creator and Master of all things himself rejoices in his works.
By his immeasurably great power he established the heavens, and by his incomprehensible understanding he ordered them. He separated the earth from the water surrounding it and established it upon the secure foundation of his own will. By his own command he ordered the living creatures that move upon it to exist. Having prepared the sea and the living creatures within it, he enclosed it by his own power.
Above all, with his holy and blameless hands he formed humanity, the most excellent and, in understanding, the greatest, bearing the imprint of his own image.
For God says this: “Let us make humanity according to our image and according to our likeness.” And God made humanity; “male and female he made them.”
When he had completed all these things, he praised them and blessed them and said, “Increase and multiply.”
Let us see that all the righteous were adorned with good works, and the Lord himself, having adorned himself with good works, rejoiced.
Therefore, having this example, let us approach his will without hesitation. With all our strength, let us perform a work of righteousness.
