Since, then, all things are seen and heard by him, let us fear him and abandon the foul desires that lead to evil deeds, so that by his mercy we may be sheltered from the judgments that are coming.
For where can any of us flee from his mighty hand? What world will receive anyone who deserts from him?
For Scripture says somewhere: “Where shall I go, and where shall I hide from your presence? If I ascend into heaven, you are there. If I go to the ends of the earth, your right hand is there. If I make my bed in the depths, your Spirit is there.”
Where, then, can anyone go, or where can anyone escape from the one who encompasses all things?
