32.1

If anyone sincerely considers each of these things one by one, he will recognize the greatness of the gifts given by God.

32.2

For from him came the priests and all the Levites who minister at the altar of God; from him came the Lord Jesus according to the flesh; from him came kings, rulers, and leaders through Judah. And his remaining tribes are held in no small glory, since God promised, “Your offspring will be like the stars of heaven.”

32.3

Therefore all of them were glorified and made great, not through themselves or their own works or the righteous conduct they accomplished, but through his will.

32.4

And so we, who have been called by his will in Christ Jesus, are not justified through ourselves, nor through our own wisdom or understanding or godliness, nor through works we have performed in holiness of heart, but through faith, through which Almighty God has justified all people from the beginning. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
