The good worker receives the bread earned by his labor with confidence, but the lazy and careless worker cannot look his employer in the eye.
Therefore we must be eager to do good, for all things come from him.
For he tells us beforehand: “Behold, the Lord comes, and his reward is before him, to repay each person according to his work.”
Therefore he exhorts us, who believe in him with our whole heart, not to be idle or careless in any good work.
Let our boasting and our confidence be in him. Let us submit to his will. Let us consider the entire multitude of his angels, how they stand ready and minister to his will.
For Scripture says: “Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him, and thousands upon thousands ministered to him, and they cried out, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Sabaoth; the whole creation is full of his glory.’”
Therefore let us also, gathered together in harmony and one conscience, cry out earnestly to him as with one mouth, so that we may become sharers in his great and glorious promises.
For he says: “Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and it has not entered into the human heart, what things the Lord has prepared for those who wait for him.”
