11.1

Because of hospitality and godliness Lot was saved from Sodom when the whole surrounding region was judged by fire and sulfur. The Master thus made it clear that he does not abandon those who hope in him, but assigns those who turn aside to punishment and torment.

11.2

For his wife went out with him, but because she was of a different mind and not in harmony with him, she was made into a sign: she became a pillar of salt to this day, so that everyone might know that those who are double-minded and those who doubt the power of God become subject to judgment and a warning to every generation.
