19.1

Since so many people of such character have received this testimony, their humble-mindedness and submissiveness through obedience have made better not only us but also the generations before us—those who received his oracles in fear and truth.

19.2

Therefore, having shared in many great and glorious deeds, let us run back to the goal of peace handed down to us from the beginning. Let us fix our eyes on the Father and Creator of the entire world and cling to his majestic and surpassing gifts of peace and acts of kindness.

19.3

Let us contemplate him with our mind and look with the eyes of the soul upon his patient purpose. Let us consider how free from anger he is toward all his creation.
