So let us serve God with a pure heart, and we will be righteous. But if we do not serve Him because we do not believe God’s promise, we will be miserable.
For the prophetic word also says, “Miserable are the double-minded, those who doubt in their heart and say, ‘We heard these things long ago, even in the days of our fathers, yet although we have waited day after day, we have seen none of them.’”
“Foolish people, compare yourselves to a tree. Take a vine: first it sheds its leaves, then a shoot appears, after that an unripe grape, and then a full cluster of grapes.”
“So also My people has experienced disorder and affliction; afterward it will receive the good things.”
Therefore, my brothers, let us not be double-minded. Instead, let us hope and endure, so that we may also receive the reward.
For the One who promised to repay each person according to their deeds is faithful.
So if we practice righteousness before God, we will enter His kingdom and receive the promises “which ear has not heard, nor eye seen, nor have they entered into the human heart.”
