Therefore, my brothers, let us do the will of the Father who called us, so that we may live. Let us pursue virtue instead and leave vice behind as the forerunner of our sins, and let us flee ungodliness so that evils do not overtake us.
For if we are diligent in doing good, peace will pursue us.
For this reason it is not possible to find a person: they bring in human fears, preferring the enjoyment here to the promise to come.
For they do not know how great a torment the enjoyment here contains, or what delight the promise to come contains.
If they were doing these things only to themselves, it would be bearable. But as it is, they persist in teaching evil to innocent souls, not knowing that they will receive a double judgment—both they themselves and those who listen to them.
