Hear also what was said to show that our Christ was prophesied to heal every disease and raise the dead: “At his coming the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of those who speak with difficulty shall become clear; the blind shall see again, lepers shall be cleansed, and the dead shall rise and walk about.” That he did these things you can learn from the records made under Pontius Pilate.

And hear what was said through Isaiah concerning how the prophetic Spirit foretold that he would be killed together with the people who placed their hope in him: “Look how the righteous one has perished, and no one receives it into his heart; righteous men are taken away, and no one considers it. The righteous one has been taken away from the presence of injustice, and his burial shall be in peace; he has been taken from our midst.”
