Antony also often told beforehand why people were coming to see him, sometimes several days and sometimes as much as a month before they arrived. Some came simply to see him, others because they were sick, and others because they were suffering from evil spirits.
No one considered the labor of the journey either troublesome or wasted, for each person returned conscious of having received some benefit.
Yet although Antony said such things and saw such visions, he continually asked people not to marvel at him because of them. Instead, he told them to marvel at the Lord, who has granted human beings the ability to know him according to the measure of their capacity.
