There was also a young woman from Busiris in the Tripolitan region who suffered from a terrible and extremely repulsive illness. Discharges from her eyes, nose, and ears fell to the ground and immediately turned into worms. She was also paralyzed and her eyes were misaligned.

Her parents heard that some monks were going to Antony. Believing in the Lord who had healed the woman with the flow of blood, they asked permission to travel with them and bring their daughter. The monks agreed.

The parents and the girl remained outside the mountain with Paphnutius, the confessor and monk, while the other monks went in to Antony. Before they could even tell him about the girl, Antony described both her sufferings and the fact that she had traveled with them.

When they asked him to allow her to be brought in, he refused and said: “Go. If she has not died, you will find her healed. The accomplishment of this does not belong to me, so that she should need to come to a miserable man like me. Her healing is the work of the Savior, who shows his compassion everywhere to those who call upon him. The Lord has listened to her prayer, and his loving-kindness has made known to me that he will heal the child where she is now.”

The wonder took place. When the monks went out, they found the parents rejoicing and the girl completely healed.
