Section 57

There was a man named Fronto, an officer of the imperial court, who suffered from a terrible illness. He continually bit his own tongue and was also in danger of losing his sight. He came to the mountain and asked Antony to pray for him.

Antony told him, “Go away, and you will be healed.” But Fronto insisted and remained there for several days. Antony then said to him: “If you stay here, you cannot be healed. Go, and when you reach Egypt you will see the sign accomplished in you.”

Fronto believed him and departed. As soon as he caught sight of Egypt, his suffering ceased, and the man was restored to health in accordance with Antony’s word, which the Savior had revealed to him in prayer.
