You count the tens of thousands, but God counts those who are being saved. You count the dust that cannot be numbered; I count the chosen vessels. Nothing is so splendid in God’s sight as pure teaching and a soul made complete by the teachings of truth.
Nothing worthy of the One who made all things, from whom all things come and for whom all things exist, can be given or offered to God. This is true not only of what one person can make or own. Even if someone gathered all human wealth and all human handiwork into one offering, intending to honor Him with it, it would still fall short. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord. And again: “What house will you build for Me? What place will be My rest?”
Since any offering must fall short of what is worthy, I ask from you the next-best thing: true devotion, a wealth open to all and of equal value for all. In this, the very poor may surpass even the most prominent person, if he is noble in spirit. This kind of honor depends on one’s choice, not one’s wealth. Be assured: I will take these things out of your hands as well.
But you will not continue to tread My court. The feet of the meek will tread it—those who have acknowledged Me, My only-begotten Word, and the Holy Spirit rightly and sincerely. How long will you inherit My holy mountain? How long will My ark remain among foreigners? For a little while longer, enjoy what belongs to others and enjoy having your own way. Just as you planned to reject Me, I too will reject you, says the Lord Almighty.
