My child, remember night and day the one who speaks the word of God to you, and honor that person as the Lord; for wherever the Lord’s authority is proclaimed, there the Lord is.
Each day seek out the company of the holy ones, so that you may find rest in their words.
You shall not long for division, but shall make peace between those who are quarreling. Judge justly, showing no partiality when correcting transgressions.
You shall not waver over whether it will happen or not.
Do not stretch out your hands to receive and then draw them back when it is time to give.
If you have anything from the work of your hands, give it as a ransom for your sins.
You shall not hesitate to give or grumble when giving, for you will know who is the good Rewarder.
You shall not turn away someone in need. Share everything with your brother, and do not say that anything is your own. For if you share in what is immortal, how much more should you share in mortal things?
You shall not withhold your hand from your son or daughter, but from their youth you shall teach them the fear of God.
Do not command your male or female slaves in bitterness, for they hope in the same God, lest they cease to fear the God who is over you both. For he does not come to call on the basis of outward status, but calls those whom the Spirit has prepared.
You who are slaves shall submit to your masters as to a representative of God, with reverence and fear.
You shall hate all hypocrisy and everything that is not pleasing to the Lord.
You shall never abandon the Lord’s commandments, but shall keep what you have received, neither adding to it nor taking away from it.
In the assembly, confess your transgressions, and do not come to your prayer with an evil conscience. This is the way of life.
