For even if some wanted to deceive me according to the flesh, the Spirit is not deceived, since it is from God. For it knows where it comes from and where it goes, and it exposes hidden things. I cried out while I was among you; I spoke with a loud voice, with God's voice: “Pay attention to the bishop and to the presbytery and deacons.”
But some suspected that I said these things because I had known beforehand about the division of certain people. Yet He in whom I am bound is my witness that I learned it from no human source. Rather, the Spirit proclaimed, saying: “Do nothing apart from the bishop. Keep your flesh as a temple of God. Love unity; flee divisions. Become imitators of Jesus Christ, as He also is of His Father.”
