Chapter 23

And by “glory” I understand nothing other than the declaration and enumeration of the wonders that properly belong to him. Our opponents must therefore either forbid us even to mention the good things that flow to us from the Spirit, or else admit that the simple recounting of his attributes is already the fullest possible ascription of glory.

For even in the case of God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Only-begotten Son, we are capable of giving glory in no other way than by recounting, as far as our ability permits, the wonders that belong to them.
