If you love good disciples, there is no grace for you. Rather, bring the more troublesome into submission by gentleness. Not every wound is healed by the same plaster. Relieve acute attacks with wet compresses.
Become prudent as the serpent in all things and innocent forever as the dove. For this reason you are fleshly and spiritual, so that you may deal gently with the things that appear before you. But ask that the invisible things may be revealed to you, so that you may lack nothing and abound in every gift.
The time demands you, as pilots need winds and one tossed by a storm needs a harbor, so that you may attain God. Be sober as God’s athlete. The prize is incorruption and eternal life, concerning which you also are persuaded. In every respect may I and my chains, which you loved, be given for your life.
