I learned that this bishop has obtained the ministry that concerns the common good neither from himself nor through human beings nor according to vainglory, but in the love of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am amazed at his gentleness: by keeping silent he can do more than those who speak vain things.

For he is attuned to the commandments as strings to a lyre. Therefore my soul blesses his mind toward God, recognizing it as virtuous and perfect, and blesses his steadfastness and his freedom from anger, as he lives in all the gentleness of the living God.
