You too should not take advantage of the bishop's youth, but show him every respect according to the power of God the Father. I have learned that the holy presbyters likewise do not presume on his apparent youth, but in godly wisdom defer to him—or rather, not to him, but to the Father of Jesus Christ, the Bishop of all.
For the honor of Him who has willed us to be, it is fitting to obey without hypocrisy. For a person does not merely deceive this visible bishop, but tries to deceive the Invisible One. Such a matter is not with flesh, but with God, who knows what is hidden.
